- In addition to loving a good movie, I am passionate about many things...most of all Lanie, my soulmate and life partner. I enjoy good music of all different kinds, graphic arts, painting and writing ( I especially have a pronounced weakness for historical fiction). I think one of the reasons I have always been fascinated with movies is that they bring all the various disciplines of the arts together - music, writing, art, costuming, sets, etc. etc. And when it all comes together just right, the effect in almost overwhelming. It moves us to tears, to anger, to joy because it magically touches our hearts and souls.
France 1778. The common people are fed up with the excesses of the aristocracy - revolution is in the air. Enter "the Corsican Brothers" (aka Sutherland and Wilder) whose disdain for the peasant class knows no bounds. Unknown to them, their identical twins (also Sutherland and Wilder)become involved in a plot that will forever change their destiny...and that of France itself.
